Adrian Chaffey

Adrian now works almost exclusively with owner managed businesses and with the people who set them up, buy, sell and invest in them. His recent work has included:

  • Advising on a management buyout involving a company operating care homes. 
  • Advising on a contractual joint venture between a chicken farm and a producer of bio-fuels. 
  • Advising various companies on their terms of business and business processes. 
  • Advising private equity investors on the establishment of a new company and for the purchase by the new company of assets from an administrator. 
  • Advising a group of hospital consultants on the establishment of a group of companies providing services to NHS bodies under the government’s choice agenda.
  • Advising on the purchase of a Honda franchise. 
  • Advising on the sale of a company providing microwave technology to television companies including BskyB. 
  • Advising on the purchase of a printing business. 
  • Advising on the purchase of a micro-brewery, pub and restaurant business.

Adrian specialises in commercial and corporate work. He trained in the group legal department of a FTSE 100 company before moving to private practice ten years ago, working for two respected national firms.

For four years he worked on complex PFI transactions, and his clients have included publicly owned companies, venture capital funds, investors, private companies, NHS bodies and other public sector organisations.
